Snowmobile Repair: Timing 1991 wildcat 700, adjustment screw, cat dealer

Question
Hi I was wondering if you can tell me what numbers the timing marks represent on a 1991 wildcat 700 carborated? I replaced the lighting coil, well the whole stator, like you recommended and the lights and tach work now. But they say I need to time it now so I need to know what the marks are. Also is there a idle speed adjustment screw on these carbs?, and what is the idle speed for this sled? THANKS
Thanks for the help with the lighting coil!!

Answer
Hello Dan,

Glad you got it working good! I don't happen to have the specs for that sled, I'm real sorry about that. Do you still have the old stator? If you do, look at it, for the old marks from where the screws held it down. Just put the new one in the same way. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, any Cat dealer will tell you, though. Generally, right smack in the middle of the screw slots in the plate is the perfect position for the stator. Best of luck to you with it, hope you are able to get it going good! Let me know if I can answer any other questions you might have. --Arctacatman
