Snowmobile Repair: Snow blower, plug hole, gas tank

Question
maybe you can help me on this or point me in the right direction? I have a 4 cycle 5 horsepwer 2 stage snowblower with electric start. it will only start if you squirt starting fluid in the spark plug hole, once it's warmed up it will start with the pull cord no problem. this problem started this year, in the past all I had to do was set the choke prime it a few times pull the cord about 4 times and it would start. now it only starts with the electric start after i use the starting fluid? any help would be appreciated  thank You.

Answer
HI DON IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE A FUEL PROBLEM.IF YOU HAVE TO USE STARTING FLUID TO START IT ITS NOT GETTING ENOUGH FUEL. WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IS PULL THE CARB AND CLEAN IT.THE GAS THAT WAS LEFT IN IT FROM LAST YEAR HAS TURNED INTO VARNISH AND GUMMED UP YOUR CARB.AFTER YOU HAVE CLEANED THE CARB RUN SOME CARB CLEANER IN THE GAS TANK TO CLEAN THE REST OF THE SYSTEM OUT.HOPE THIS HELPS DON SLEADHEAD
