BUT MY DIAGRAM SHOWS NO POWER WIRE TO THE COLUMN. OBVIOSLY IM MISSING SOMETHING.THERE IS ALSO A SMALLER FLAT CONNECTOR, 5 PIN WITH PURPLE,WHITE,GREY ON THE THREE CENTER PIN AND ONE RED WIRE LOOPED TO THE TWO OUTSIDE PINS(JUMPED). IS THIS MY POWER LEAD?

Answer
Hi Philip:
The second lead you are referring to is for the wiper switch.  I'm missing something.  What are you missing?  The ignition switch is mounted on the bottom of the column (on the outside) and has separate connectors with all kinds of power feeds and ignition circuits.  The only power going into the upper end is for the turn signals.  Are you missing turn signals?  Do the 4 ways work? Do your stop lights work?  I'm not sure what you are after.  If you can help me understand what you want or are looking for, then I can help you more.
