I have '98' Pace Arrow RV, GM P-chassis,454 motor.
Problem is gear selector stuck in park. What to do?

Hi Ron;
It sounds like the shift-brake interlock is not working properly.  I need for you to try something and then get back to me.  
The key has 5 positions to it, Backwards, one click is '1' (Accessory), key in hand out of the lock is '2'(Lock), 1 click forward is '3' (Unlock), 2 click forward is ignition on with lights on the dash illuminated is '4' (Run), and forward all the way engaging the starter is '5' (Start).
I need you to put it in the '3' position, unlocked, but not engaging any circuits.  In that position, see if you can move the shift lever.  You should be able to.
So, before we go any further, let me know what happened (if you can shift it)...then we can continue the diagnosis.
PLEASE DO NOT FORCE ANYTHING...it gets real expensive if you do.
