Steering Column Repair: STEERING COLUMN, little cherokee, splined shaft

Question
FROM WHAT GM CAR, WHAT STEERING COLUMN WILL FIT A 1976 JEEP CJ5

Answer
The easiest to find that will fit in with a little work is a 84-94 little Cherokee or 87-95 Wrangler tilt column, you have to "collapse" the column a little to shorten it a bit, for the bracket that bolts under the dash to line up. Also the cj you have has a splined shaft at the bottom, and these others will have the "double d" shape, you can either swap the steering shaft within the column or modify the rag joint. Good luck with it and let me know how it went.
