Steering Column Repair: Gear Selector for Chevy S10, chevy s10, ext cab

I have a 1994 Chevy S10, 4x4, ext. cab. To start the truck I had to pull the gear selector to the left (more towards Park). Now that doesn't work so the truck doesn't start at all. What can I do to get the gear selector or ignition to work again?

Hello Jeff,
Have you tried adjusting the neutral safety switch? It's on the top side of the lower part of the column. There should be a could of nuts or screws holding it in place.

Test the switch to see if you can start from neutral or any other gear (be careful when starting in R or D. hold the brake).
