Steering Column Repair: vibrating steering wheel, crown vic, steering wheel

1999 Crown Vic. Just drove 50 miles on highway at 65-70mph. Everything fine. When I got off at my exit & slowed down to 40mph steering wheel was vibrating.Car sat for 1/2 hr. while I grocery shopped:acted the same rest of way home.
Any ideas? Thank you.

this could be a gear box going bad i would get it checked from a good shop a bad bump can cause this to happen so it should be checked . and u could have a bad front shock also good luck to u hun and if you need more help let me know and u have a pretty name pete please rate my serivice
