Subaru Repair: 93 Subaru Impreza, valve tappets, subaru impreza

I have an 93 Subaru Impreza base model and recently been noticing that their is an constant ticking noise coming from under the hood. The faster you drive the faster it gets and vise versa. I recently changed the oil and simple maintanence on it to see if that was causing it. It has over 200,000 miles on it and otherwise it runs perfect. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like one of the valve tappets or "lifters" is having trouble pumping up and staying that way.  This could be a failing lifter, restriction in the oil supply to the lifer, a restricted oil pick up tube or a sucked in oil pump to block o-ring.
