Subaru Repair: 92 Legacy revs drop and engine stalls, mass air flow sensor, mass air flow

My 92 legacy's engine has started to stall. When going up hill, the revs drop away, and the engine stalls. If I pull over and put the thing in park when the revs begin to drop, the revs still drop and the engine cuts out.

There are many possibilities, mass air flow sensor, spark plugs, plug wires, sticky valves.  diagnostics is a process of elimination start eliminating the obvious things such as spark plugs and wires(check them don't just replace them) and go from there.
