Subaru Repair: 92 legacy awd wagon tie rod ends, tie rod ends, inner tie rod

Question
I need to replace the inner and outer front tie rod ends on my subaru.  This is
my first repair on a subaru.  Is it any more difficult than a ford or chevy?  Will I
need special tools?

Answer
Subaru inner tie-rod ends are somewhat complicated. If you have access to a inner tie rod removal tool it will help.  make sure to replace the washer behind the tie rod end.  You can also reach them by using knipex pliers.  I would honestly take it to a reputable shop.  I have honestly seen many customers bring cars in that improperly install their inner tie rods, they are hard to get tightened properly.  Hope this will help!
