Subaru Repair: Subaru Forister, subaru forester, dome light

I have a 1998 Subaru Forester. The door ajar light is on all the time even when it is turned off and the keys are out of the ignition. Is there a relay that is stuck? If so where is it located and how do I get to it?

Usually your problem is a bad door ajar switch, but usually the dome light stays on. Alot of the time, a seat belt has gotten stuck in the door and then when the door is closed, the switch breaks. If the light is staying on, check your door ajar switches. And as far as the relay goes, I don't think there is one that could cause the door ajar light to come on. Good luck.
