Subaru Repair: Parking Lights wont go off, button switch, steering column

Question
Frank,

I just wanted to let you know I figured out the parking lights problem.  It's a bit embarassing to admit, but I finally realized there is a button/switch on the steering column (separate from the  twist switch on the turn signal arm that turns on the parking lights, and then headlights) that turns on the parking lights regardless of whether the car is turned on or off.  Not sure why it's there, but it must have gotten bumped.  Anyway, thanks for providing this service.  Any ideas why Subaru included this parking light switch?  I've owned Fords, Hondas and Toyotas and none ever had such a switch.  Thanks again!

Answer
I'm glad you got it  :)  Don't feel embarassed, there are alot of people that don't know about that switch. We get customers in all the time for it.  :) Thanks for using Allexperts.com. Don't forget to rate me.  :)

                      Thanks,
