QuestionI recently moved to Baltimore County, MD. I renewed my tags in NC because I do not know if I will be staying here very long. I was waiting for the sticker to arrive in the mail. My tags have January tags. However, my registration states "PLT Valid Thru 02/15/2012". My car was towed this morning without any warning by the apartment complex. I paid $240 to get my car back. How would I go about them returning my money for wrongfully towing my car?

A lot of tows for expired tags are based on physical and visual information...
Your tags would say on the outside of the vehicle "JANUARY" as you said, but the paperwork which most likely is in the glovebox, which is closed, inside the locked vehicle might say something else.
But the management company and the tow company had to go with what they see.
As to you thinking it was an illegal tow, based on "paperwork" it might be, but the visual part is what will hurt in court.
If you want to go try to get your money back, go the small claims court route and see if you can convince a judge that you were wronged....
