Towing Issues: crookied towing, lien laws, crusher

I bought a truck and put money in it and went to test out the 4x4 at the lake got stuck the cops had my truck impounded i asked if i could get my belongings out they told me they had a hold on my stuff i call and ask if the hold is off the truck they told me yes so i told them i wold like to get my things out of the back of my truck it has only been in impound for 2 weeks they told me they took my truck to the crusher i asked them about my things i had in the back it went to the crusher to what can i do

2 weeks and its gone???  

That does not sound right, and I have to also ask where this happened. The laws in each state are different and yes the lien laws (rights to dispose of vehicles) vary also.

Something does not sound right on this, and I know there is a lot more to it than what you said here.
