Towing Issues: Towing at work, tow truck drivers, small claims court

Question
I work every weekend, I'm a high school student and I close every weekend for the money. I pay for a lot of things. Everytime I close, I get out at 2 a.m.  Recently I got out at 1:30 and my car wasn't there. I looked on the list of towing and there were things likes parking in an handicapp spot, taking up two parking spots, and overnight parking. Which my car was not all three. I called the towing company and she said it was overnight parking... at 1:30... I was clearly still there. Then she pulls out of her ass you need a parking permit??????? NO ONE in that shopping center has a parking permit, my MANAGER doesn't have one and closes 5 days a week! Is there right? What's up with this?

Answer
without specific information such as what state you are located in, I can not provide information on laws regarding notice and signs.

But if the property management decides on rules and things like that which you listed then they have the rights to do that.
You can contact the management company and see if you can get the rules and such. Get times and such spelled out so you know what is happening.

But it sounds like the tow company might be a bit aggressive. But there might be some like of time limit as to "overnite". I do not know if there is.

Now as I tow truck driver I also have a insite into something and I hate to say it, but a lot of tow truck drivers work on commission so the more they tow, the more they make.

Now if you have a desire you can try the small claims court if you feel that you were taken advantage of or towed illegally.

Hope this helps
