Towing Issues: recontructed brand on oregon title, oregon title, verification issues

We have a pretty sought after collector vehicle. It has Reconstructed on an Oregon Title. I have, and I still am, making attempts to get this off of the title. I have done a serch on the history thru DMV. The recontructed was put on back in 96 under ORS 819.220. The vehicle was never wrecked and that is documented on past paper work. Looking on the internet I see where it states the rule is repealed. Can I fight them on this ruling? Do you have any suggestions on how to get the reconstructed brand off? Thnaks for any help.

well, even though I am from Oregon and thought I knew a lot of the laws there, I am not sure how to change the "brand" on the title.

DMV would be the people who you will have to get change it so they most likely have some forms and procedures to do that.

I bet there are also a lot of verification issues as to the vehicle identification numbers, engine serial numbers and such.
