Towing Issues: my trailer was towed.., storage fees, love seat

Question
to begin i need to state all the facts. i just moved out here from california and had a bunch of stuff that wouldn't fit into my apartment so i left a few things out on a trailer. i had placed a love seat and a recliner on to the concrete off the trailer and took the rest of the stuff off to the dump.. when i put the trailer back didn't put the stuff back on. the management requested i clean it up.. so what i did was put it back on my trailer. i found out last night that my trailer was towed cause i didn't throw away the love seat and recliner. i went into the office ans asked then why it was towed. they said that i didn't throw it away and that they said that they would tow it if it didn't get taken care of.. when the they were never on the trailer when the complaint was given to me and they never said they would tow it.. my question is don't they have to give me a warning like a few days before towing it away.. or am i just screwed

Answer
this kind of depends on the rules of the complex as to defining abandoned vehicles and things like that.

I can not really say what the actual rules are, as all you said was you moved "FROM CALIFORNIA" and that means I only have 49 more states to guess where you are and what the state laws might be in regards to towing vehicles from private property.

Now as to the towing of trailer, you will have towing and storage fees and all that, I hope you got the trailer back after paying the fees. But now you are faced with the same thing if you take the trailer back to the complex.

Wish I could help a bit more but it sounds like you need to work it out with the management about parking the trailer and what you are going to do with the love seat and recliner.
