QuestionI'm in San Bernardino county Ca.I'm buying a tow truck.I've worked as a driver for transport companies several years.I have a customer base & now the truck.Ineed to know what the legalities are relating to this bussiness. Such as insurance,licensing,Ca.number,RA number,ect. Basically any and all information and advice is welcomed and greatly appreciated!
AnswerWell, you will need City Business Licenses, US DOT Numbers, insurance for the truck, cargo - on hook - garage keeper insurance.
And then you got to jump though the state paperwork for sales tax, registering your name with the state and such.
And then California DMV regulates and controls tow trucks so they got a ton of stuff to do...
