Towing Issues: removal of abandoned vehicle, wrecked vehicle, tow companies

Location:  Pacifica, CA
10 or more years ago, an unknown person crashed his car into a pole across the street from a rental property of mine.  My tenant pulled the car into the backyard intending (I guess) to get parts from it.
There is no record of the owner of the vehicle, there was no transfer of title, and the wrecked vehicle is still sitting in the yard.
My tenant is long gone.

Question:  how do I go about getting rid of this vehicle?  I don't mind paying to have it removed, but there is no info on ownership (the plates are also long gone...)

wow, you really have a problem...

I am not sure what to say, but you might talk to the city and see what they say. There are zoning departments, or neighborhood betterment departments.

And you can talk to a couple of tow companies and see what they say, or a wrecking yard.

I know that California has a ton of rules regarding towing vehicles. But there are not any that I found which cover this kind of issue.

Wish I have a better answer.
