Towing Issues: My vehicle 4x4 was towed and has extra problems, chevy blazer, tie rod

Question
My Chevy Blazer 4x4 1990 6 cyl 4.3 was towed and after the fuel pump repair, unrelated to it's new problems, which are the muffler seal has been split/torn/separated and my steering column has approx 1" play all the way around.  It was not towed on a flat bed due to lack of communication between tow call dispatcher and driver.  All 4 wheels were lifted, to the best of my knowledge, from what I saw.  Can the current damage have occurred from having my vehicle towed in this manner.  All other tows have been on a flat bed and I have had no problems with the vehicle.

Answer
I really doubt that the damage is related, as there would not be anything which would affect the steering unless they used an old sling type tow truck and managed to hook a tie rod which would cause the wheels to be out of line due to a kinked rod.

The muffler, well I am trying to figure out "Muffler seal" and what you really are talking about there.

If you watched the tow truck hook up and seen it on a wheel lift and dollies used, that would be all 4 wheels off the ground, then you were able to see what parts of your vehicle was touching the tow tuck equipment.

Hope this helped
