Can a vehicle be towed before notification of towing?

I am thinking that you are talking about tows from private parking lots for illegally parking, and as to notification, if there are any kind of signs posted which state things about customer parking, permit parking, reserved parking, no parking or tenant parking or any other things like that then the courts will generally rule that is notification enough.

Nothing says that you have to be called, told in person, sent letters, left notes in most cases for tows from private property.

Tows in some areas for abandoned vehicles on the highways have stickers left on them, and in some cases maybe a letter might be sent.

There are 50 states, and who knows how many counties and cities which have laws regarding towing vehicles and each one will be different.
