Towing Issues: towing, property easements, zoning office

Question
my building is adjacent to a large parking lot that a church purchased. we only own 5 feet out of the side of my building. I've been parking here for over 20 years. Two weeks ago I was told I couldn't use the parking lot anymore, even if I park up against my building. Any recourse?

Answer
I would say no especially if you have to use their entrance to park on your property against the building. The problem might be you are trespassing if you have to access your neighors property to get to yours. Since I don't know the layout of the parking lot, entrances or alleys try contacting the city/county permits and zoning office. Be honest and explain the situation. They can also explain property easements which may be the case for your property.
