Towing Issues: did the towing hurt my car, shift lock, front wheel drive

Question
My battery was dead and wouldn't go into neutral, its a front wheel drive so he pulled it onto the rollback while it was in park would that damage anything?

Answer
It is possible, depending on the type of car you have. It's not uncommon for a towing service to have to pull a vehicle up on a flat bed/roll back, but normally something is used to prevent too much traction. Most vehicles have a shift lock bypass, but most towing companies are not aware of these. Let me know what type of vehicle and if you are having any problems with the vehicle.
