Towing Issues: Car damage from illegal Tow!!!, colton california, car symbols

Last night at about 11:30 pm in Colton California.. My car was towed from a moble home park. I was there visiting a friend, and when I went to leave my car would not start. It rolled out to the curb and wouldn't start up. I sat there for a few minutes trying to get it to start. When it did not I went inside to use my friends phone. I walked in, grabbed the phone and sat down, when I heard a loud car noise. My friend went outside and seen my car getting towed. My friend worked for AAA towing for 5 years.. and he said what they did was very illegal. He threw my car on a chain and drove away. He put no safety lights, did not raise the car or hook it up properly at all. My friend and I tried to chase him down but he kept going. It took me $391 to get the car out that night... I signed to release of liability or anything. Today when I went to check my car, the 2 front head lights were cracked and broke, my bumper was hanging, and my car symbols were gone. I want to know if I have a case?

I am guessing that it was only a few minutes from your explanation. If this is the case you need to find out who authorized the tow. Were there any signs? The safety lights are only an issue if local law enforcement observes it. What type of vehicle is it? You said the driver pulled it with a chain? Was it a tow truck?
