Towing Issues: Pulling a Chevy S10 out of the mud with an Explorer, rwd, chevy

Could I pull a '97 Chevy S10 out with a 2000 RWD Explorer; it has a v6? Would it hurt the Explorer? Basically, is it worth the try?

There is always the possibility of damage if you use a vehicle for something that it is not designed for. It depends on how bad the vehicle is stuck in the mud. What state are you in? Some states actually have laws against pulling vehicles with another.
