QUESTION: can my car be towed if my plates are registered but i don't have a sticker east Chicago Indiana

ANSWER: Well if you do not have the current "STICKER" which goes with the plates, indicating that you have paid the taxes due (registration) then it can be towed as an "unlicenced or abandoned vehicle" in most cases.

Due to many cities and states having budget issues, they are looking for any way to get revenue and while the "TOWING" might seem that way, they generally do not get much from it...  BUT having you register and pay for the tags - stickers, they get the money..

Yes  if the complex you are parking in requires permits or stickers then you can be towed...

And in some cities they have "resident parking permits" which allow for vehicles to be parked on streets in certain areas and the lack of a permit does mean it gets towed.

But in a short answer, NO PERMIT or STICKER - YES TOW
