Towing Issues: HOA towing, parking space, covenants

I belong to an HOA and I have a parking space but no car.  Do the HOA have the right to have a car towed in my space without my consent that does not have a visitors pass? My boyfriend usually parks there.

They make the rules and you and your boyfriend have to follow them or be towed.

Now each state has different laws and each HOA has different restrictions - covenants also.
