Towing Issues: My car was wrongfully towed, small claims court, roanoke va

I park in the spot next to mine by accident at 8:30 p.m..
this is the first time I have done this yet my neighbor had
my car towed at 1:30 a.m. with out even asking me to move my
car or letting me know I was in her spot. when I went to go
to work my car was missing and I though it had been stolen.
after calling the land lord to notify him I discovered he
signed the notice to have my car removed it cosset me $150
to get my car back dew I have a wright to some of that money
back? I live in Roanoke Va.

Well being it is a mistake, I really hate to say this but it sounds like you are out the money...

Yes it would be nice to have your neighbor give you warning or something like that, but given todays "people skills" and all that, courtesy has gone out the window...

No one seems to care about anyone but themselves now. Heck most people do not even know the names of the people that live next door or on the same block like they used to..

Now I am not sure if you could get any of the money back, but you can always try the small claims court and see if you can present enough evidence to prove that you were wronged.

Since you live in Virginia, I know that the laws regarding towing are changing (some take effect July 1st) and I have tried to keep up on the laws but there are so many of them and they are being changed as we speak also.

I wish I could help you with this more but it appears that it is an expensive mistake.
