Towing Issues: towing 1997 Trans Am WS6 automatic, rear tires, nutral

You didn't specify which type on transmission you have. Generally the rule of thumb with towing is rear wheel drives should have the rear tires off the ground and vise versa for front wheel drives. This method prevents the drivetrain from turning. In your case meaning the rear tires in the dolly and towed backwards.
