Towing Issues: storage, bad apples, tow company

can a wrecker service who has a storage facility available take your car to thier house and keep it their?

I really wish I could provide a solid answer to this, but I have to say that at times over the years I have taken towed vehicles home...

There might of been a reason for it, but I do not know how long it was at their house, or if it was just a few hours or so...

And it does also depend on the reason it was towed in the first place...  Police ordered towed do have rules regarding this as do most private property tow aways....

But there are also a few "bad apples" who do what they want and hope they do not get into trouble.

I can think of one recent case in Oregon where something like this happened and the tow company owner is headed to jail over it...
