Towing Issues: Towing 2 wheel drive auto vehicle backward, tow dollies, tow dolly

Can I pull my 2003 mercury mountaineer 2 wheel drive automatic backward on a tow dolly?  If so, what do I need to do to make it work?

Way to many variables in this question to answer it properly...

Yes, backwards is the best method, but other issues tend to come into play... Weight of the Mountaineer verses the towing vehicle along with the tow dolly weight  (you do not want to use a YUGO to tow the mountaineer with)...

Also the Mountaineer might be to heavy for the tow dollies rating, which could be a big issue.


Distance involved, what kind of road conditions (lots of hills or things like that)
