Towing Issues: wheres my car??, local police department, tow companies

How do I find out where my car was towed to?  I live in Tehachpi, ca.

Well best answer is to call the local police department if it was in the city... If it was out of the city limits, then call the sheriffs office or the CHP...

Now if it was towed from a private parking lot, check around for signs which list a phone number for a tow company...

If that does not work, you can try calling the local tow companies one at a time and see if they have it...

And worst case is if no one knows where it is, then file a stolen report on it, as there are some thieves who use tow trucks to tow away cars and strip them or sell them for cash to support what ever habit they have...

Sorry I do not have a solid answer for you, but I am 2800 miles away in Lower Alabama and that is the best I can do.
