I had asked two employees of the lease offices if its ok to park there without
a permit they said as long as its outside the gate it is fine.
I GOT TOWED!!
The car is my job im loosing money every day .
I then proceeded and asked the leasing manager and she started lying
saying her emplpyees thought i was parked on the street which is a direct lie
!! There are 3 cars parked there over a month not been touched with no
permits what so ever! What legal actions can i take?

Answer
There could be many reasons why your car was towed. You stated your vehicle was parked outside the gate, I'm assuming no parking permit? IF your vehicle was parked outside the gate is this off the apartment property? If this is a private drive that leads to the gate then it could still be on apartment property which they do have control over. The apartment complex doesn't have authority over a public street or public parking area and can not authorize a removal. Only police or other authorized officials can authorize a tow if it was parked on a public street. Could your vehicle been towed by the city or county for license, insurance, registration or any other violation? I'm just trying to understand the situation correctly. Should you still feel your vehicle was targeted you could try legal means but it can be costly, timely and usually doesn't provide favorable results especially if your vehicle was in any violation.
