Towing Issues: finances required, dot number, fmcsa

How much money is REQUIRED for us to personally have by the transportation authority (or whoever) in Nevada in order to be qualified to start a consent tow business? It's just my husband doing it, no employees.

Funny thing is that I have been considering moving to Reno in the near future for a towing job and have been looking at some of the rules and stuff... That is why I have that information...

Hope it helps, but as to how much "EXACT MONEY" well that is hard to say from my sources. But do not forget that you would have to also file for a "FEDERAL DOT NUMBER" in order to be legal even if you do not cross state lines due to the "DEFINITION OF A COMMERCIAL VEHICLE"
