Towing Issues: Towing, dodge ram 1500, dual axles

Question
I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 2 wheel drive 4.7l v8- 20" rims with the tow package. Will this truck be able to tow a camper with dual axles weighing 3500lbs with only a ball hitch on the bumper?

Personally, I am not a fan of bumper mounted trailer hitches and believe the frame mounted trailer hitches are safer. If your asking if the bumper can handle it, there should be a weight and tow rating stamped into the bumper. Your truck is able to pull the 3500 trailer and depending on the terrain would advise transmission and or oil coolers if not equipped. With regards of the weight of the trailer you are also required to have operating trailer brakes.
