Towing Issues: Not Fair, shed, insight

Question
I was visiting a friend at around 11 pm i have always parked in that parking
under the shed i had no idea that they could tow my car for parking with no
permit. She lives in an apartment complex. While i was parking i made sure
that there was no signs indicating not to park there. they towed my car about
40 min after i had arrived there. I asked the security what had happened but
he said that there was a sign outside the apartments saying that i needed a
permit to park there i think this is so unfair because there was no way of me
seeing this and there was about 10 cars in that parking with no permits and
no one got towed but me what should i do? Are their signs suppose to be
visible?

Answer
In most cases, authorized parking signs are required at the entrances or on the buildings notifying of enforced parking. The friend that lives there should have informed you about the required permit. In your friend's lease there are terms and conditions about parking and agree to those terms when signing the lease. If the sign can't be seen then management will refer to your's friends lease with the terms and condition as written notification given. Since you were a visitor it's your friend's responsibility to inform of the rules and regulations for proper parking procedures. As for the other cars, we don't know the story and unable to give any insight.
