Towing Issues: towing issue, tow fees, tow yard

Question
Hello,
My sister was on vacation for 2 weeks and while she was gone, her car, parked on the side of the road, was hit and totaled by another car.  her car was towed to a tow yard and has been sitting there. since she was on vacation, (which she can prove) the tow fees have been accumulating.  she has the other person's insurance information. the insurance company went to the tow yard to determine the damage..(totaled)  but, the insurance is refusing to pay for the tow fees or the value of her car b/c she let this go so long.  she did whatever she could, as soon as she could. she did nothing wrong, someone hit her car!  please let me know as soon as you can,
Thanks in advance,

Answer
Since the other vehicle caused the accident (at fault) it is their insurance company (if they have insurance) that is responsible for the claim. If the at fault insurance company is trying to wiggle out of the claim or short change the claim then contact your insurance company. Your insurance will fight for you to get the proper results. Make sure you give your insurance company all the information you have, claim number, accident report, etc. After all that's what you pay them for, they will get it resolved.
