Towing Issues: Towing charge, tow fee, liability insurance

My girlfriends sons car burned up on the side of the road so the police had it towed. The car is not worth anything and there was only liability insurance on it. Nither one of them have any money. The question is he liable for the towing?

He is absolutely liable for the cost of towing, storing, and disposal of his property. The sooner you deal with it the better. I would try to pay the tow fee and get them to waive the storage for the title. In writing on the receipt it should say paid in full.
