Towing Issues: RV towing, rv towing, factory warranties

Question
Can I tow my AWD 2004 Escalade behind my motor home?

Answer
Hi Tom, There are a lot of modifications that would have to be made. For starters the driveline, front and rear would have to be disconnected or another option is installing a auxiliary transmission pump to lubricate the transmission. There are manufactures that make disconnecting axles and driveshafts just for these purposes. The process requires removing the OEM components and installing the new parts. The auxiliary transmission pump can be a pain, disconnecting hoses, additional hoses or pump failure which you wouldn't know until your destination. All these options void factory warranties if it hasn't expired. I my opinion I wouldn't recommend any of the above.  The easiest option is a car trailer, no messing with the vehicle or future vehicle.
