Towing Issues: towing laws/home assn., ford pinto, tow truck driver

a tow truck driver watched me park at my house,when i walked in the door he hooked and fled fast. i called police,they told me to print laws of illegal towing. my question is where can i find the documentation to print before i file suite against tow co. and home owner assn.

Well in light of this issue,I would say that a search of your states website for either DMV or general laws (you did not mention what state this is) would be the starting place to find laws regarding what is legal and what is not legal towing...

But I have to warn you that a HOA does have the power to create laws which go above and beyond state laws... For example if the HOA wants to create a rule-regulation which says that only 1973 Purple Ford Pinto station wagons are allowed to park on the street at 432AM on Fridays then it would be legal to tow any other vehicle at that time.

You should have a copy of the "rules-covenants" from your HOA and that is a good starting point..
