Towing Issues: Car towed without requested information from the worker, towing company, business card

Good day from Syracuse, NY. Recently I had my car towed from a public parking lot. The towing company worker did not answer any of my question about the reason why they do it, or where they are taking it. His truck was not marked, except a sticker on his toolbox. When I asked him for a business card (or any other contact) he ordered me to stop asking questions because he will not tell me anyway. Isn't it wrong?

It seems strange that you were not able to get any answers. In oregon we are required to notify you of where and how you can redeem your car.

I would call the local police and ask them who can give you the information regarding local towing laws.
