Towing Issues: Towing, tow operator, tow companies

Question
Dear Sir,
Each Saturday morning a kind of local market is set-up in a local parking lot.  I am familiar with the event and am aware of the posted signs that state that vehicles within a certain boundary will be towed after midnight.
I parked my car in an adjoining lot, but one I was sure was safe from the towing area.  That evening the towing company towed mine as well as two other cars that were parked along side of me.  However, the individuals owning those cars happened to come upon the operation while it was still in process.  They pointed out the operators mistake and demanded their cars back, which they got without having to pay any fee.
Unfortunately, I was not so lucky.  Upon calling the tow operator the first time I was told that he would check to see if the car had been towed illegally, and if it had that he would call me right back and return the car.  He never called back, and for a period of time after the did not answer their phone.  I was finally able to reach someone who told me that there was nothing that they could do because they were not a manager.  They told me that I would have top speak to a manager on Tuesday because of the Columbus day holiday.  It's only Saturday.  I do not have the money to reclaim my car.  What can I do>?

Answer
Sorry for the delay, been busy at work...

Now it sounds like it might of been one of those "HONEST MISTAKES" but hard to say if that is true, as I am not there and do not know where this happened... You did not mention where this was.

Now as to "the driver" making the call about illegal or legal, that is fairly common issue and practice in the industry.

Now about the "holiday" I am sorry but that tends to be normal also... Tow companies do tend to follow bank holidays and even though we are a 24 hour a day - 7 days a week business, we have "normal business hours also.

Now as to the money, I am not sure what to say about that, but if it was an "illegal tow" then you should not have to pay a fee...

Hope this helps.
