Towing Issues: invalid permit, property management company, curfew laws

Question
QUESTION: My apartment complex issued new permits. However i was never informed of the new permits.
The manager said she sent out notices 2 weeks before they were to be inforced, i never recieved the notice.
She also said she posted it on the doors, which it is, on a 3 inch piece of paper under a notice that has been up there for months about some curfew laws so kinda hidden in there.
She says she did everything she had to. I have recieved notices before about other topics no problem but the notice about the permits was never to be seen.

ANSWER: Daren

Did your car get towed?

The only thing I can suggest is to make sure to get a permit from the manager. Apartments are private property, so the permits are just a way of maintaining control of the number of cars that are parking in the lot. Usually overnight.

The permits were likely provided by the towing company to the management, unless it is a large property management company and they have their own permits. Not that all of that matters so much in this circumstance.

If you've talked to the manager, did they then give you a permit? Does every other car in the lot have a permit? Is your car in good working order and currently registered in your name with good tags? Lastly, what does the tow company say about it?

If this was our towing company, we would give a car back free of charge, provided the management called to say it was their mistake.

I hope this works out satisfactory for you
