Nissan Repair: 1994 Maxima digital clock & ac controls, digital clock, dash light

Question
The clock and the auto ac displays in my 94 Maxima work sporadically.  Sometimes they both come on; other times it's one or the other. The displays are sometimes bright, but sometimes very dim.  All functions work, however, and the clock seems to maintain correct time.  I've tried to use wiring diagram to find a common point for the two devices. Would the timing control module, which is mounted with the theft control module under the dash, be a possibility?  I've tried 2 or 3 different clocks with the same results.

Answer
Tony,

The circuit feed is from the dash light dimmer switch as it controls both the cluster and the clock and ac controls.  If the dash lights are not screwing up you have a loose connection where the clock and ac lights plug into the harness.  This is behind the radio where the two tie together.  If all else fails you can wire around the problem to the wire that feeds the cluster lights since they are the same circuit.
