Towing Issues: Improper Tow, 2005 toyota corolla, drive wheels

Question
My car was towed in park and drug about 1000 feet on the drive wheels. Will my Transmission be damaged? 2005 Toyota Corolla.

Answer
It's very hard to say either "YES OR NO" on questions such as this... 1000 feet is a long way to drag a vehicle (that's almost a quarter of a mile)

Are the tires "flat spotted" as that would happen mainly...  As to dragging it, well it could damage it but as a rule transmission damage happens when the transmission is not getting the fluid circulation to lube the parts inside when it is turning the drive train assembly...If its in neutral and the engine is not running with the drive wheels on the ground then its possible to damage the transmission due to overheating fluid or parts inside the transmission...

When it is in park then it does not as a rule turn at all and that would be where the tires would be worn down (flat spotted)

Does the vehicle drive ok now after it has been towed, that would help decide on if there is damage or not... And some damages are not immediate in being able to be spotted or detected.
