Towing Issues: Starting Roadside Service Co., orange county california, time joey

Question
Hello, I am thinking of starting a Roadside Service Company here in Orange County, California.  I would only do service calls and no tows, I have several years experience.  How difficult is it to get contracts from the insurance companies like Cross Country, Geico, Asurion, etc., ?  Thanks for your time

Answer
Joey, I know what you want to do and it might work, but its hard to do from a practical point...

Motor clubs as a rule want to pay the least amount for service and get the most service for the buck...

If you were to go out on a service call for a won't start and could not get it started then the motor club would have to pay you and then pay a tow truck to tow it.. They would have to pay twice for service... See the point here..

Now as to contacting then, well there are 63 towing and roadside service programs that I know of which cover everything from Cars to Semi trucks and trailers.   There is a list of them online in a towing forum which I will list at the end of the question....

As to starting your own business you can do that if you have the drive and the financial backing to do it... Its expensive to do it at the beginning though...
