Towing Issues: Tow Truck hit and run, tow truck company, yellow and white pages

Tow Truck hit and run Witnesses saw when a car that was being transported by a tow truck got disconnected from the truck and hit my car.  My car was parked and unoccupied.  The tow truck driver reconnected the other car and drove off.  My car was badly damaged.  Witnesses took pictures and got the name of the company and the tow truck number.  But no one got a license plate or phone number and the information on the side of the truck is not visible in the pictures.  I searched the yellow and white pages, but could not find the company. Do you have any other suggestions on how can I find the tow truck company?

Well, I can not make much out from the picture and unfortunately its hard to find out who that is...

I do know that there are a few fancy painted tow trucks in the NYC area and while I have not seen one like that in any of the pictures I see or at any of the trade shows there might be a way to do something...

If you can not find the name in the phone book and you have the information you might be lucky at some point.

Take that picture and print it out and if you can, check with a few of the larger tow companies and see if they know who it is...

Also since its a hit and run, I hope you reported it to the police department and if you can provide them with the picture.  Have you also reported it to your insurance company?   The more people who know about it can help find out who it is...

Also just pay attention to tow companies in the area it happened in as they tend to operate in certain areas...
