Car Stereos: I need a amplifier, mono amp, channel amp

I have a 10' p1 punch sub, the model # is:
p110s4
4ohm
150 rms
300max peak
and all i need is an amp now because the previous one burned out, im not sure what kind or model it was but i need an amp now, can you please help me out. i would really appreciate it, im not big on sound systems, so if you can break it down for me i would really appreciate it. thank you.

Hi Brian,

Because it's a 4ohm, 150RMS sub, your options are plenty.

Almost any amp will do the trick.  A class D mono block would be the best amp for you since it'll be a mono amp that only outputs 1 channel with a low frequency response, which will fit your needs with a subwoofer just fine.

Alternatively, you can get a 2 channel amp that's bridgeable to 1 channel, (thereby ensuring you mix both left and right into your sound output on the subwoofer).  Being a 150RMS sub, don't waste your money on anything that outputs more than say 200W, since you don't wanna be running it beyond its capacity anyway.  Unless you intend on upgrading later, in which case, make sure the amp isn't turned up too high in the meantime.
