Towing Issues: 1986 Ford F150, ford lincoln mercury, new castle indiana

I am from New Castle, Indiana.  I have a 1986 Ford F150 and am looking into buying a travel trailer.  (I know you're not an expert in RV questions, but I think you will be able to help with this.)  What is the towing capacity on this vehicle.  It has a 351 5.8 liter 4valve High Output.  I don't know the rear-end ratio.  Thank You for your help.

I am at a loss here as I did a search online for information on this issue... I could not get the information to come up in any of my sources, and I know that I do not have books on that information..

My best bet would be to call the local Ford dealer (New Castle Ford Lincoln Mercury (765) 529-3673 ) and give them the VIN (vehicle Identification Number) to the vehicle (its on the dash drivers side small plate, or on a sticker on the drivers door + its on your registration paperwork with the state) and ask them for the information... They will have access to records at Ford which will tell you EVERYTHING about the vehicle, including the day of the week it was made and what shift did it...
