Towing Issues: Towed from campus, but no tow sign anywhere..., public signs, parking ticket

Question
I am on a college campus, and i parked in a spot that had "reserved" painted on it. I got a ticket for parking there that said from 7pm-7am are the only times it's available. But there was no sign posted anywhere in sight with any types of rules or times. My question is, are they allowed to tow my car without any public signs with clearly stated guidelines?

I appreciate your time a lot,
~James~

Answer
First of all, most college campus rules and regulations are spelled out in the paperwork to get the permits needed to park there.

Signs are not always needed in each specific reason or parking space, as the painted markings are usually good enough to spell out who and what is allowed in the spaces...

Each City, County and State have different rules and regulations and then to top that off, the college campus is a another place that will have rules... Sometimes they conflict and sometimes they do not..

But I am sure that you were towed legally, as the security or police force there was the one that did issue the parking ticket...
Depending on the rules they could tow it for the reasons listed also..  Once again check the rules for the parking permits...
